Born in Canelli and based in the Monferrato area near Asti, Viarengo works across landscape, the human figure and abstraction. These paths are available in eight languages; series retain their portfolio titles. Exhibitions and biography add context to the first impression made by an image.

Looking from another country brings different points of reference. A figure, building or landscape may call up memories unlike those of the person who photographed it. A photograph continues to live in that distance, remaining connected to its maker while welcoming readings the artist cannot anticipate.

The collections introduce the work, exhibitions develop some of its relationships, and the biography adds places and moments in its history.
