Photography in a shared space.

In a museum, photography encounters memories, collections and many different visitors. Claudio Viarengo’s work moves between landscape, architecture and the body, with particular attention to the transformation of the figure.

A shared experience

A shared experience

In 2026, Claudio Viarengo and Alina Rosu exhibited Dal bianco alla terra at MUSarMO in Mombercelli. Photography and painting on skin shaped a journey of loss and renewal. The biography and exhibition pages place this collaboration within the wider development of the work.

A photograph in a cultural institution enters relationships beyond its own frame. The place, neighbouring works and the experiences visitors bring all influence its reading. A painted body, a transformed surface or a landscape can open different discussions while retaining the specificity of the image.

A proposal begins by asking what should be brought into relation. The collaboration with Alina Rosu offers a context for considering the body between artistic languages. Other collections extend that enquiry towards form and space. An institutional conversation can develop from these connections, taking time over the selected works and the reasons for presenting them together.

Museums, foundations and cultural institutions can contact the artist to discuss exhibitions, interpretive approaches and the materials a proposal would require.
